Getting better at writing, one post at a time

Dear reader,
It’s finally time! I’m starting a personal blog on my website. I’m so excited to carve out a space on the interwebs just for myself.
Writing is hard. Despite my past work experiences and time put in, I still feel like I have a lot to learn. The first formal account I’ve had with writing was a short story class I took in college and well, there’s a reason I’m not a successful fiction author!
Hilariously, I'm way better at speaking than I am at writing. I'm confident in my abilities to stand in front of people and talk about stuff, even without memorizing. And yet, when I write (or if I even try to write what I wanna speak), I find myself fumbling around on my keyboard.
Topics I'll write about
I see this blog as a way for me to improve in two ways:
- Getting better at writing by writing more
- Getting better at thinking, learning, and planning through writing deliberately
So, what am I gonna write about? Expect to see some ink on the following:
- Trends in AI, search, large language models, and building with these
- Thought experiments and tinkering with new ideas
- Research paper overviews
- writing about new models and frameworks I come across
- my personal projects and how they are (not) working
- adventures in my own life, the world, and everything else
I’m really excited about this fun little project of mine, and I'm so happy to have you all along on this trip.
